Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known as Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. On October 21, 2016, she released Pho, her debut EP for the label Dreamville Records. This was when she began to gain recognition. The album that she released as her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her own single Bound, as well as her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. On July 21st, 2015, Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew at that time and wanted her to work on Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs.
